Word! Ever thought about it? Like who invents a word? Who decides which particular word deserves to be added in the dictionary?

Words could come from anywhere. Sometimes they're derived from a war code and sometimes from an Indian festival.
I'll tell you how the word "juggernaut" came into existence. It first found it's cradle in the Badadanda of pure, a city placed few kilometres from the state of the capital of Odisha, one of the four holy places included in "Char Dham".Puri is famous for it's Jagannath temple. Image result for jagannath jatara drawing
Once in a year, the city celebrates "Rath Yatra", where Lord Jagannath goes on a 9-day trip along with his brother and sister and meets their devotees outside the temple. they ride on a Rath(colossal car), tied with a rope. Devotees pull the rope to move the vehicle as tradition. Devotees chant religious Sanskrit slogans and say "Jay  Jagannath", repeatedly with booming enthusiasm.

The phrase "Jay Jagannath" was also used by foreigners tourist witnessing festival, they "a celebration where huge and unstoppable car rode by Lord Jagannath was pulled by a rope by some thousands of people as a tradition".and since then "Juggernaut" a word which is "Jagannath" was added to the dictionary. Merriam Webster dictionary describes it as "something(such as a force, campaign, or movement)that is extremely large and powerful and cannot be stopped"
